Advancing Multiple Sclerosis Care: Celestra Health at CMSC 2026

Last week, the Celestra Health Systems team travelled to Charlotte, North Carolina, to participate in the 2026 Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) Annual Meeting, one of the leading gatherings of MS clinicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and patient advocates dedicated to improving the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis.

From the moment the exhibit hall opened, one theme quickly emerged from our conversations at Booth #608: the need for better ways to measure changes in disease condition.

Walking impairment is one of the most common and impactful symptoms of multiple sclerosis, yet accurately measuring subtle changes in gait remains a significant challenge.  Pharmaceutical firms, researchers, clinicians, physiotherapists and occupation therapists consistently shared the same concern: existing approaches often lack the sensitivity to identify early neurological changes, are cumbersome for patients, or fail to provide objective, real-world insights that can guide treatment decisions.

At Celestra Health Systems, we are addressing this gap with our wearable-based digital biomarker platform. Our solution objectively measures neurological gait subtleties with laboratory-grade accuracy, backed by peer-reviewed research, while eliminating the need for cumbersome strap-based sensors or specialized laboratory equipment. The result is a patient-friendly approach that provides meaningful insights into disease progression and treatment effectiveness in everyday settings.

These capabilities are especially important as the MS community seeks to accelerate the development of new therapies. By providing accurate, real-world measures of walking quality, our technology can help researchers assess the effectiveness of drug and rehabilitation interventions more precisely and enable clinicians to identify changes in a patient's condition earlier.

Beyond the technology, what made CMSC 2026 truly special was the opportunity to engage with the people at the heart of MS care: Patients, clinicians, and researchers who are all working toward the same goal – improving outcomes and quality of life for individuals living with multiple sclerosis.

We are grateful for the many conversations, insights, and connections made throughout the conference and remain inspired by the passion and dedication of the MS community.

As we continue our work, our mission remains clear: to deliver innovative, accessible digital health solutions that empower clinicians, accelerate research, and ultimately improve the lives of people living with MS.
